2 Fitness Tips to Keep You Healthy

Fitness tips

Number one among Fitness Tips . . .

"Avoid skimping on the warm up when you try to fit an aerobics exercise routine into your already busy schedule."

You’ve heard the horror stories of people getting injured because they did not warm up before working out.

If you skip your warm up you are not only risking personal injury but are making the workout more difficult to begin.  Not warming up your muscles and stretching the connective tissue will make the actual aerobics exercise less effective not to mention more painful.

Warm Up Into Your Work Out

The warm up doesn’t have to be time consuming or cut into the time you allot for the aerobics.  Music can help make your warm up more of a dance routine that naturally leads to the exercise.

A good warm up gets all of your muscles moving, from nose to toes.  Warming up is also important regardless of the type of weight loss exercises you prefer.

The main goal of the warm up is simply to slowly move muscles that you haven’t really thought about all day.  Warm up can include;

  • Jogging in place
  • Jumping jacks
  • Jumping rope
  • Stretching
  • Walking

Use whatever method (or combination) to prepare for the exercises you will be doing during your workout.

Walking, doing an easy jog to the gym or using the stairs in your own building are excellent ways to warm up.

A good workout always builds in intensity, from the warm up to the sprint, which leads to Fitness Tips number 2;

"After the work out it is important to cool down."

This will be your warm up in reverse, walk around, swing your arms and stretch.
